tRCD+1), considering the motherboard is going to tweak it. Now I'm wondering whether I should explicitly specify the speed as DDR400 (with clock settings, incl.

Since my vendor's price for DDR333 is the same as that for DDR400, I'm not going to bother swapping the memory. No one mentioned that my CMOS settings would be wiped too, but fortunately I remembered them all and had no trouble getting the system up and flying (even with the Promise Raid-0 as my boot drive).īTW, one of the fixes mentioned in the BIOS update history involved DDR400 memory in 3-banks, where the motherboard would automatically set it down to DDR333 (because DDR400 in 3-banks is explicitly unsupported). I've managed to download the Live Update utility, and get my BIOS flashed successfully. As to ATI drivers, I'm already on Catalyst 4.4, which is the latest. Once it settles a bit (which should be very soon), then I'll definitely get it in there. I hate having to continually edit it, while I'm constantly in the state of changing PSU, memory, etc. Click to expand.Sorry for not including that info yet.
